Note: Students entering a new program are considered NEW Students. RETURNING students refers to students returning to the same program.
Students are responsible for regularly reviewing their online Student Account Summary and to understand and ensure payment of all amounts owed to Sheridan for each term related to their courses, programs, and studies by the due dates indicated on the student’s fee estimate (domestic students) or invoice (international students). This applies to deposits and installments where applicable.
General Payment Due Date
Payment is to be received by Sheridan on or before the date below unless stated otherwise on the front of your fee estimate.
Once posted deadlines have passed, Student Financial Services will put your student account on hold if your outstanding balance exceeds $40. When your account is on hold, you can still submit your intent to register, but you will not be able to enrol in further courses at Sheridan until the balance is paid in full. You will also not be able to receive official documents such as transcripts or letters of enrolment.
If you are paying a deposit and you owe Sheridan a balance at the time of payment, the payment will be applied to your outstanding balance and will not be applied as a deposit to hold your seat in the upcoming term. Please check your Student Account Summary regularly so that you are aware of any outstanding balances as soon as possible.
In addition to your account being placed on hold, if your overdue balance exceeds $150, a late payment charge of $150 will be applied to your student account.
Note: To ensure your seat in your program and to avoid the late payment charge, please allow sufficient time for certified cheque/money orders sent by mail or payment via online banking to reach Sheridan by the due date.
Online banking payments generally take up to 4 business days to arrive in your Sheridan student account. If your payment has not been received by Sheridan within the expected time frame, please contact your financial institution.
